This is the first in the series that I've played, though I've watched my friends play the previous games, and hadn't seen any of Killzone 3's gameplay, so I decided to buy it on a whim. The weapons and battles are amazing, and the level of detail to the landscape and graphics is stunning, even by today's standards (though it only came out two years ago). Some you fall in love with, others you hate for most of the game. Killzone 3 continues the storyline set by the previous games, and introduces some new characters with dynamic personalities and likability. However, if it's going to receive comparisons, then I suppose you could say it resembles CoD in part of its gameplay, but that's where it all ends. A lot of players buy this game with preconceptions of what to expect, and end up disappointed. It's also interesting that Tearaway - the first-party Vita game from Media Molecule - doesn't yet have a date.For starters, this isn't Halo, and this isn't Call of Duty. It's important to note that games do typically come out on Tuesdays, and not Wednesdays, but that these dates are far too specific to be quarterly placeholders. So our inclination is that these dates are, at the very least, actual placeholders from the games' publishers, if not outright release dates.
Should these dates be trusted? It’s unclear, but the list does show two big Vita games – Soul Sacrifice and Killzone Mercenary – both with accurate release dates.
All three games are also marked to cost $39.99.
Three other games stick out as well: Muramasa Rebirth (Wednesday, June 26th), Valhalla Knights 3 (Wednesday, September 4th) and Ys: Memories of Celceta (Wednesday, September 25th). We reached out to Atlus for comment, and a representative told us that the game will come out this summer without clarifying whether this date is correct or not. In other words, it’s unclear whether that price gets you both versions. The game, which also launches for PlayStation 3, still has a nebulous Cross-Buy situation following its acquisition by Atlus last year.
As clearly seen, Dragon’s Crown is marked for release on Tuesday, August 6th, and will cost $39.99.
